The Jeongseon gold project is a grassroots conceptual exploration project, which KML considers has significant potential to host a major new Carlin-type gold province.<\/p>\n
The Cambro-Ordovicean carbonate sequence of the Taebaeksan basin has been the subject of research conducted by Pukyong National University (Busan), KORES and KIGAM since 2004 and is recognized as amenable to Carlin-type gold mineralisation. Recent studies (No et al, 2021) have identified \u201cinvisible\u201d gold encapsulated within pyrite and arsenian pyrite, associated with carbonate dissolution breccias (mapped as the Yemi Lime Breccia).<\/p>\n
